PARTICIPATION & CONTACT

Forms & your information.

Enquiries, newsletter subscriptions, research participation and alpha testing have different purposes. Choosing one does not enrol you in the others.

Website enquiries

The contact form collects your name, email address, optional organisation and message. On the contact page you can also select an enquiry topic. Your submission is saved so YATS can respond to your enquiry.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to the newsletter or enrol your institution in alpha testing.

Newsletter subscriptions

The subscription form saves your email address and subscription date, together with a record of the subscription wording. By subscribing, you agree to receive email updates from YATS.

You can request removal from the update list through the contact form. Select “Subscription or information request” and include the email address you subscribed with.

Form security information

When you submit a website form, we record the selected site language, browser language preferences, IP address, approximate country and browser information, when available, together with the submission time. We use this information to help detect automated abuse.

Country is estimated from the network connection and may be inaccurate. Language or country alone does not determine whether a submission is genuine.

The school timetabling study

The survey has its own privacy information, which should be read before participation. It requires your name, email address and invitation reference ID; it is not anonymous. Permission for further research and testing invitations is a separate choice within the survey.

Alpha testing data

Data handling and transfer arrangements will be agreed with each participating institution before real end-user data is shared for alpha testing. The general website forms are not a place to submit pupil records, staff records or timetable files.

Questions about information you supplied

Use the contact form to ask about a previous submission, request a correction, or request removal. Include enough context to identify the submission without sending sensitive records.
